CHALLENGE: Develop a site-security design package for a manufacturing facility that includes video, access control, intrusion detection and intercom communications.

SOLUTION: Wunderlich-Malec designed a video system that covered site entry points, hazardous areas, operational areas and high traffic areas. An access control system was used for site, building and hazardous area entry control. Intrusion detection secured the roof area. And video monitoring systems were coupled with intercoms to reduce the number of guards required to operate the site. Wunderlich-Malec also developed a design for the network infrastructure that supported the entire security system. The final customer deliverable in this case was a set of design drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
