PROJECT: Juvenile Detention Campus, San Mateo, CA

CHALLENGE: San Mateo County faced a growing problem with an erratic PLC based access control system and faulty devices in their campus facility. They requested Wunderlich-Malec's assistance in reviewing the technology in place and offering support in repairing or upgrading components as needed.

SOLUTION: Wunderlich-Malec responded with a wide variety of engineering resources, from technical analysis of HMI operation to mechanical review of door and latch operation. We provided onsite repair of lock mechanisms, traced faulty electrical signals, corrected circuit operation and reviewed PLC and HMI code. We selectively modified code as needed to provide consistent, stable operation.
