Because of our company’s heritage, we can provide engineered solutions and build skids from a systems perspective; we’re not just fabricators of steel and pipe.
This means that we take the skid and the skid’s application into our comprehensive construction approach, which includes instrumentation and calibration, as well as wiring and control panels. Our engineering capabilities allow us to provide a complete skid design that achieves your specific application requirements. We can even provide software programming and testing of the control systems.
In addition, Wunderlich–Malec engineers and start-up technicians located in our regional offices are available to provide on-site start-up and commissioning support.

Wunderlich-Malec can build your skid from a detailed drawing and bill of material, or we can design and build your modular system from a performance specification, process flow diagram (PFD) or process & instrumentation diagram (P&ID).
Our engineers develop a conceptual plan and then submit it for approval and discussion. Once the plan is approved, we move on to detailed design and fabrication.
All modular systems are functionally tested in our facility, fully assembled. They can be shipped as a complete unit or disassembled for shipment, reassembled, calibrated and tested at your facility by Wunderlich-Malec technicians.
